There are several photographs of the CESAC flag online, two of the best can be found here and here. The flag features the CESAC seal centered on a plain blue field. The seal itself has light blue aviation wingswith a gold star superimposed on a light blue circle at the center.A grey or silver sword is positioned behind the star, pointing upward, with a green laurel wreath behind the wings. Above all is a light blue ribbon with the agency's acronym in gold capital letters. Randy Young, 31 May 2015
The Cuerpo Especializado en Seguridad Aeroportuaria y de la Aviación Civil (CESAC, Body Specializing in Airport Security and Civil Aviation) is the agency of the Ministry of Defense that is responsible for overseeing security at domestic and international airports. According to the Google translation of the CESAC website, the agency "guarantees the security services in the domestic and international airports by applying the rules, methods, and procedures established by ICAO, for the protection of international civil aviation against acts of unlawful interference." In this respect, and based on some of the photographs shown on the website, CESAC appears to be the Dominican Republic's version of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) here in the US. The major immediate difference is that while TSA is part of the Department of Homeland Security and is held separate from the armed forces, CESAC is a recognized arm of the Dominican Ministry of Defense.
